Flutriafol acts against the following diseases in cereals:

Leaf spot - Septoria tritici

Glume blotch - Septoria nodorum

Brown rust - Puccinia recondita

Yellow rust - Puccinia striiformis

Stem rust - Puccinia graminea

Leaf rust - Puccinia hordei

Powdery mildew - Erysiphe graminis*

Leaf scald - Rhyncosporium secalis

Net blotch - Helminthosporium

And to some extent flutriafol acts against eyespot (Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides).

Applied up to 28 days after an infection period, and before symptoms appear, Impact® demonstrates excellent curative activity against Septoria tritici-'kick-back' or 'claw-back' activity.

Flutriafol also demonstrates eradicant activity against yellow rust (P.striiformis). The addition of a morpholine to a flutriafol product will enhance the activity against established rusts.

Maximum control of diseases is normally accomplished by timely spraying, usually just before the development of infection. Impact® possesses very good protectant properties, often similar to true protectant fungicides.

Very good protectant activity against rusts (P.striiformis and P.recondita) is a feature of Impact® activity. This is clearly demonstrated in the graph below where control of yellow rust was measured up to 42 days after application at GS37. When used before disease is established, Impact® can have 6-8 weeks effect, sometimes longer.
